Mathilde Petit est une jeune designer diplômée en 2014 d’un Bachelor en Design Industriel et de Produits, orientation Design Bijoux & Accessoires de la HEAD-Genève, et d’un Master en 2016 spécialisé en Produits de luxe, Bijoux, Montres & Accessoires de la Creative Academy, école du groupe Richemont, situé à Milan.
Soucieuse d'apprendre, de découvrir d'autres lieux et personnes pour nourrir sa fibre artistique, elle effectue sa deuxième année de Bachelor à l'École d'Arts et de Design Central Saint Martin's à Londres en 2012 et 2013. Elle réalise également un stage au sein de la maison Erickson Beamon où elle apprend le soucis du détail et confectionne des pièces de bijouterie pour la maison Harrods ainsi que pour le site net-a-porter.com.
Dernièrement, lors de son expérience de Master en Italie, elle répond à plusieurs projets créatifs pour les Maisons du groupe de Luxe Richemont, et notamment la création de pièces joaillières ou horlogères pour les Maisons Piaget, Jaeger-Le-Coultre, IWC, Mont-Blanc ainsi que Baume et Mercier.
Dans le cadre de son Master, Mathilde réalise un stage au sein des ateliers de Création Cartier à Paris, faisant partie intégrante du studio accessoires et petites horloges. Elle crée gardes-temps, instruments d’écriture, sac du soir, lunettes joaillières, boutons de manchette et autres objets d’art, en pièce unique ou petites séries.
Mathilde Petit aime le travail d'équipe ainsi que les coopérations avec d'autres designers. Ainsi, le fait d'avoir pu travailler avec différentes Maisons du groupe Richemont, et plus particulièrement la Maison Cartier, le bureau de design Colucci, les lunettes parisiennes Tarian ou les ateliers Dupont-Corian, lui a permis de mettre à profit ses capacités de designer.
Dernièrement, elle à pu travailler au sein du bureau de création de la Maison Chaumet, place Vendôme à Paris. Grâce à sa mission avec la Maison parisienne, elle à pu suivre le développement de gammes de produits, horlogers et joailliers. Elle à pu exprimer sa créativité au sein de la Maison autour de thèmes variés, en créant garde-temps, collections de Haute-Joaillerie, et pièce Joaillières.
Étant pluridisciplinaire en proposant des designs d'objets joailliers, horlogers ou lunetiers, Mathilde Petit souhaite multiplier les collaborations sur la scène genevoise ou internationale.
Mathilde Petit is a young designer, who graduated in 2014 with a BA in Industrial design, specialising in Jewellery and Accessories at HEAD - Geneva, and with a MA in 2016, specialized in luxury products, Jewellery, Watches & Accessories from Creative Academy, Richemont School, located in Milan.
Because of her desire to learn, discover new places and meet new people to feed her "artistic appetite", she went to Central Saint Martins University of Arts and Design in London in 2012 and 2013 for the second year of her Bachelor's degree. During her stay in London, she worked as an intern at Erickson Beamon where she learnt to pay attention to details and finishing. Whilst there, she made jewellery pieces for famous houses, such as Harrods and the website net-a-porter.com.
Lately, during her MA experience in Italy, she answered to different creative projects for Maisons of the Richemont Luxury Group, and created high end jewellery pieces, and high watches for Maisons Piaget, Jaeger-Le-Coulter, IWC, Mont-Blanc and Baume et Mercier.
Also, during her Master course, Mathilde worked as an intern, in Cartier Creation Studio, located in the heart of Paris. She worked hand in hand with other designers in the Small Clocks & Accessories Studio. Over there, she created clocks, writing instruments, clutch bags, jewellery sunglasses, cufflinks and other art objects in small series or unique piece.
Mathilde Petit loves team work and thoroughly enjoys collaborating with other designers. Therefore, when she worked for different Maisons of the Richemont Group, and more particularly for the Maison Cartier, with Collucci Design Studio, parisian glasses Tarian or Dupont-Corian factory, she had opportunities to show her design abilities.
Lately, she has the opportunity to work among the creative studio of the Chaumet Maison, place Vendôme, in Paris. Thanks to this mission with the Parisian Maison, she followed the developpement of fine Watches, Jewellery and High Jewellery pieces. She had the opportunity the express her creativity at Chaumet, answering to different briefs with various thems, through the creation of fine Watches with complications, High Jewellery Collection and Jewellery pieces.
She is a multi-disciplinary designer with experience making jewellery, watches and sunglasses. Mathilde Petit hopes in the near future, to make collaborations in Geneva or Internationally.
